Design is more than what we see what we feel, taste, and experience. Beyond Perception is a multi-sensory installation and workshop that explores the science of neuroaesthetics the way art, design, and sensory inputs influence human emotion, cognition, and well-being.
Hosted by The Bardo, an interactive experiential design studio, this event invites participants to step into an immersive sensory-scape where light, sound, and spatial elements are carefully composed to evoke deep emotional and physiological responses. Using projection mapping, interactive visuals, and curated soundscapes, the installation engages multiple senses, demonstrating how design reshapes our perception of reality.
The workshop component offers a hands-on experience in sensory design, guiding participants through the art of multi-sensory storytelling. Attendees will learn how color, form, and sound influence mood and behavior, and how to incorporate neuroaesthetic principles into their own creative work. Workshop is 5 hours long, with 2 chances to attend.
To deepen the sensory exploration, guests will experience an exclusive mocktail tasting featuring botanicals selected for their psychoactive and mood-enhancing properties. These herbally intoxicating beverages are crafted to engage taste, aroma, and memory, adding a gustatory dimension to the experience.
This is a rare opportunity to engage with the intersection of design, perception, and sensory alchemy, offering designers, artists, and experience curators new ways to craft immersive environments that resonate on a deeper level.
Join us and push the boundaries of how design is felt, not just seen.
See you there! 🍵✨
